This small collection of Manor House hotels in Kent and Surrey had recently grown from two to three properties with plans to expand further. The group required a full-time Group Revenue Manager and were keen to consider internal talent for the role.
VROOM helped identify the ideal candidate, Rebecca, who had been an Events Manager for two years and had successfully grown sales to record levels. Rebecca had also proved herself to be smart, ambitious, committed and financially minded.
Rebecca had no previous Revenue Management experience, so VROOM provided a mixture of Outsourced Revenue Management alongside intensive Revenue Coaching. This training was conducted over a period of 6 months, with the handover of responsibility once completed.
Coaching included daily management of rates across the three hotels, a comprehensive crash course in distribution and systems connectivity, group and corporate pricing guidance, forecasting and reporting of results.
Three years on Rebecca is still Group Revenue Manager at the Manor House hotels. She thoroughly enjoys her role and is delighted with the direction her career has taken. Revenues at all three properties grew substantially under Rebecca’s management, so the owners were equally pleased.
