Home House is a private members club located in Portland Square, London. The Club hosts a range of facilities across three exquisite Georgian townhouses including restaurants, bars, The Vaults, garden, 25 bedrooms, meeting/event space, a gym and a calendar of exclusive members events. Our challenge was to
• Tailor make a training course to assist with driving revenue from the three main sales departments – Reservations, Membership and Events.
• Guide sales department through cross-selling techniques to increase revenue.
Prior to the workshop, VROOM conducted conversations between Heads of Department and mystery shop calls to get further background on the situation. It became apparent through this work, that there were issues between the departments that were detrimental to increasing revenues.
VROOM facilitated a 2-day course consisting of
• Highlighting the barriers between the departments and how this is impacting increasing revenues/cross selling.
• Enquiry handling
• Questions and listening techniques
• Introduction to revenue management
• Handling objections and closing the sale.
• Showround training
After the workshop, follow up calls were made to each delegate to create a comprehensive report and feedback session with the Events Manager and General Manager. VROOM was able to achieve cohesive sales across all three departments as well as an overall goal to increase revenues and increased conversion rates. Due to the success of the workshop and training VROOM are still working with the Home House and more recently their sister property Home Grown. VROOM continue to undertake mystery shop calls and mentor the individuals from the Event Department.
