Despite having a portfolio of 7 properties, the Coaching Inns group did not have revenue management technology, practices or staff in place; instead, it relied on fixed seasonal rates. The group recently acquired investment to grow its portfolio from 7 to 22 properties and recognised it needed to improve its revenue management function as well as maximising its return from the existing portfolio.
VROOM provided an outsourced revenue management service to manage the pricing at all Inns. VROOM also provided strategic advice on increasing distribution; promotional, corporate and group pricing strategy; as well as implementing revenue management systems to facilitate growth.
In the first year, RevPAR from the existing portfolio increased by 22%. To date VROOM has assisted with the onboarding of 6 new sites so far, taking the collection to 13 properties all using VROOM’s Outsourced Revenue Management Service.
