Objective

The Black Ivy is a 21 bedroom boutique hotel located in Edinburgh. The Sales and Events Manager was newly appointed and required additional support in developing a sales strategy so reached out to VROOM.

Solution

VROOM spent a total of 4 days with the Sales & Events Manager, with meetings taking place over six weeks. All of the meetings were formally structured in order to maximise the time together. all aspects were covered to ensure the Sales & Events Manager could grow the Corporate side of the business. Topics included:

- A full review of the existing M&E procedures and processes

- A full review of the existing Sales structure and short and long term strategies

- Training on how to maximise the conversion of enquiries and referrals

- Training on how to convert enquiries into bookings

- Comprehensive showaround training

- Face to face appointment training

- A Sales Plan was created with both short and long term activities and benchmarks

- A review of compset and training on its importance within the Sales function

Outcome

Following VROOM’s comprehensive bespoke training programme, the Sales & Events Manager was confident that both departments were correctly structured with the right processes and procedures in place.
