The Inn Collection Group have managed to buck the trend towards pub closures and expanded their portfolio from 7 to 13 inns over the last two years. With plans to grow to 21 inns by 2022. Notable recent acquisitions included The Swan at Grasmere, one of the lake districts oldest inns immortalised in Wordsworth’s The Waggoners, and The Black Swan at Helmsley dating back to the 15th Century.  

Their portfolio is firmly embedded in the North, stretching from The Lake District in the West to Northumberland in the East. They have also been voted ‘Best Pub Employer’ two years running at the prestigious ‘Publican Awards’. A central part of the group’s success is their bedrooms delivering approximately a third of all revenues and a higher share of profits.

VROOM was contracted in late 2018 to provide an outsourced Revenue Management Service and to ensure Revenue practices were robust enough to facilitate expansion.

The RevPAR at existing inns grew to an impressive 22% in the first 12 months. Year 2 saw continued growth until the impact of Coronavirus put a temporary halt on sales. VROOM also facilitated the onboarding on six new inns, all delivering against budgeted bedroom revenues within the first few months of transition.
